Vice-Rector Alexander Bedny meets with international student activists
Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs, had his traditional meeting with international student activists. Direct dialogue between the student community and the University administration provides the opportunity both for effective interaction and for the exchange of opinions, and sometimes even for a critical look at certain events taking place at the University. Representatives of the UNN Department for International Student Affairs also took part in the meeting.
The participants discussed the plan for the upcoming activities that are scheduled for the spring semester. The focus of the discussion was on the opportunities for international students in the field of social activities. Among the communities operating at Lobachevsky University are the International Student Club, the Dormitory Student Self-Government Association, the Lobachevsky Volunteer movement, as well as national communities and the "I Care - I Can" programme of social initiatives for international students.
Responding to questions from international students, Alexander Bedny encouraged all those present to take an active part in the life of the University and to make suggestions for the implementation of ideas and projects, thereby developing their skills and realising their personal potential.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Bedny thanked the students for their active involvement and suggested holding the next meeting in the near future, where the students would be able to present their proposals.
