Welcome to the arts and crafts exhibition "Balakhna lace"

An exhibition of works by Balakhna lacemaker Galina Kotova “Balakhna  lace” welcomes its guests at Lobachevsky University. Galina Kotova has  represented Balakhna lace-making as an integral part of the Nizhny  Novgorod folk art and crafts at numerous national and international  exhibitions, demonstrating her unique works. Galina Kotova is a master  of lace-making, she is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, a  member of the International Association of Needle and Bobbin Lace OIDFA.  She organized the “folk” workshop “Balakhninskiye Uzory” in 1992 and has  been its leader ever since. In 2005, she received the Nizhny Novgorod Governor’s prize "Soul of Russia".

The exhibition is open from 09:00 to 16:00 at UNN building 1A on the  main campus, 4th floor, room 405. Tel. (831) 462-36-35.
