Zoshchenko's play staged at UNN Arzamas branch

On 4 March, the premiere of a play based on  Mikhail Zoshchenko story "The Wedding" took place at the Arzamas branch of Lobachevsky University. Stage director Yulia Kolesnikova involved more than 20 students in the production that took about a month to rehearse. The main roles were performed by students of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy: Anna Shakh played the bride, Daniil Skorobogatov, the groom, Nikita Shimanov acted as the father, Nikita Lebedev impersonated the groom's friend, and Anastasia Charochkina, the mother. It was a very lively performance with a lot of music and dances. The songs blended in with the atmosphere of the 1930s. They were performed by 12 girls from the Voice vocal ensemble led by Oxana Godukhina. Excellent acting and Mikhail Zoshchenko's unique humour were met by the audience with great enthusiasm.
