The chances are that when you arrive into Russia you will fly firstly to Moscow from your home country. Buying a connecting flight from one of Moscow airports to Nizhny Novgorod is a quick and easy way to arrive in Nizhny Novgorod. There are relatively cheap flights, when booked in advanced, from all three of Moscow’s main commuter airports Domodedovo(DME), Sheremetyevo(SVO) and Vnukovo(VKO). You may also get to Nizhny Novgorod from Moscow by bus or train at cheap rates although their journey times are longer. On December 29, 2021, Federal Law No. 274-FZ, dated July 1, 2021, came into effect, introducing amendments to the Federal Law  “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” and the Federal Law  “On State Fingerprinting Registration in the Russian Federation”.
