On February 17, a delegation of the Hong Kong University of Education visited Lobachevsky University. The delegation included Professor Tai-lok Lui, Vice-President for Research and Development, Professor Sing Kai Lo, Associate Vice-President, and Vienna Lee, Head of Programme Management of the Graduate School. In the course of the visit, a meeting was held with UNN officials where the Russian side was represented by Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Irina Leonova, Head of International Office, Sergey Obolensky, Deputy Vice-Rector for Research, Sergey Pyatkin, Director of the Arzamas Branch of Lobachevsky University, Alexander Surin, Head of Inclusive Education Centre, Mikhail Ruchin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Rehabilitation and Health, as well as representatives of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Institute of International Relations and World History and the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship.

In his presentation, Vice-Rector Alexander Bedny introduced the guests to Lobachevsky University and shared the latest information about its recent achievements  and plans. The sides also discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Lobachevsky University and the Hong Kong University of Education. As a result, an agreement was reached on the exchange of students within the framework of the UNN summer school "Summer in Russian" and a summer school for postgraduates in Hong Kong. Also, the members of the delegation met with UNN Rector Evgeny Chuprunov. The Rector noted the positive dynamics in the development of relations between UNN and the Hong Kong University of Education and expressed his hope for further strengthening of this cooperation. Earlier, the Hong Kong University of Education took part in the QS Worldwide Conference held in September 2015 in Nizhni Novgorod, and in November 2016, Professor Professor Sing Kai Lo ran a workshop on inclusive education at UNN.
