Popular Science Festival "Cold Weekend" will be held on February 12-13 at the UNN Science Park. The event is organised by the Lobachevsky Lab Science Park and the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"February is often referred to as the coldest month of the year. But what is cold? Let's try to understand it and look at the concept of ‘cold’ from all sides during our festival. On February 12, you will attend lectures and refresh your theoretical knowledge. You will learn how snowflakes travel, what happens to insects in winter, what to do when there is a cooling in relations, and much more. In addition, an incredible chemical show '-333 Fahrenheit' will be offered to festival guests," the organisers told.

Some practical activities are planned for February 13: a tour of the crystallography and experimental physics labs at the UNN Faculty of Physics.

To take part in the festival, you have to pre-register at this link for February, 12, and at this link for February, 13. A live broadcast of the festival will be available on VKontakte.

Admission to the event will require a certificate of vaccination or a multi-pass. These requirements do not apply to minors.
